Auction Description Editor Is Not Working

Gazza, after upgrade I can't list new items - auction description editor is not working - it shows blank page, can't type or paste.. Please help!!!

We are unable to put anything in the auction description box in order to list an auction. It worked last week, doesn't now. We are using WinXPpro Win internet explorer. I tried logging off then on again, tried doing auctions from scratch, populate, list a similar, tried typing, tryed html and wysiwyg s. When I tried using the "populate" (nothing showed up in the auction box when I hit "populate") Please help, the sooner we can get away from the e-giant and be with ebid, the better.

I still can't do anything.

My problem is the same as the OP. Blank screen, unable to write etc.

You've just mentioned a screengrab which I assume is a pic of what we can see on our screens but TBH I wouldn't have a clue how to go about getting that. I know your reply was for the other post on here.

For the record I'm running Vista IE7.

I have some instructions I wrote for somebody else this week, hang on, I'll paste and tweak...

(assumes using Paint - which you'll have free on your computer)

1. Open paint so it's ready to make a new picture, and leave it waiting.

2. Go to ebid, bring up the page you want so that it shows the problem clearly in the middle of the screen (scroll if necessary) - a screen print takes only the bit you can see, hence the positioning!

3. Look for a key top right of your keyboard that has Prnt Scrn written on it - probably next to the insert key. Now hold the shift key (like making capitals) and press the prnt scrn. Won't look like anything's changed!

4. go into paint. Select the option to make a new picture (probably file > new).

5. this should automatically make a blank canvass the write size.

6. when canvass there, press the control key (bottom left of keyboard) and while holding it down press the v (letter vee) key. ctrl/v means "paste"

7. This should put the screen contents into the Paint picture.

8. Save (to your desktop will do if easiest).

9. Send this to ebid support as requested.

I'm told it works.
