Whats the best pc

Am wanting to purchase a new PC,what is the best amd or intel ??, and any ideas on the best place to buy from ?.

I've had both Intel and AMD, I'm using an AMD machine at the moment, not noticed any difference, apart from the fact AMD's are usually cheaper As to what is best it depends on what jobs you want it to do, no point in a mega processor to do Word Processing, surfing etc. If you are an avid game player then a fast processor and an ultra good graphics is needed. Have a word with McBlob he may be able to advise you.

Ive had a DELL for the last few years never had a problem with it but nearing the time to upgrade i think.

Well I mainly just use the pc for forums ,keeping in touch etc, I do a bit of game playing as well, as you know I have come into a bit of spending money, and as I spend most of my time online, i just want something that is going to last me for a long time.

dual layer dvd rewriter

18-in-1 media card reader

6x usb ports
wireless keyboard and mouse
and hp photosmartc4585 all in one printer wireless
For about £560 before i get my famous haggling skills into operation

I have money to waste , seriously though, thought i would get as much as i can, get something out of my winnings before Mrs Huddy spends it all lol

I can just see you never using it to its full potential or any ware near, I have never succeeded in using more that 85% of my 2gb of ram up and that was using some of the more demanding apps, it also takes a lot for me to put pressure on my processor which is only a 2.6ghz dual core athlon

oh, and I dont think you will get them to lower the price much, that pc has a very small margin of profit as it is

Hi Huddy.Just send me $2500 and you can have mine lol.DONT go to PC world.Have you got a local small PC shop that buid their own.You will get better components and good advice.mcblob knows what he is talking about.Flashing lights and flash box means nothing.My PC looks like a black tin box but was built for me by a small firm.Dont look much is great.Got it from here
