Precisely, that's all I was aiming for. I have a card ready, and will be going to the PO shortly... but I'm not about to risk mail-bombing some poor unsuspecting soul who's just hacked off a spiteful person. So a simple question was politely asked.

If this *wasn't* from a genuine person and some poor woman received a bunch of hoax cards, how would she feel? For a child who wasn't sick, or didn't exist, or had already died... can you imagine the distress? I simply asked for some confirmation before risking making somebody's burden far, far worse... a perfectly sensible precaution.
you have a good point..i wouldnt want to distress anyone...

Sorry, I didn't go to pheebay, I got the impression from the OP that Ronny had requested this personally.

    OO, could you clarify, please?

This is very similar to the request I received via an email a few weeks back , but a totally different addy . Its a sick way to get your name in the record books , sorry if this is genuine but I highly doubt it

Its surprising how jumping in head first with good intentions can often have all sorts of possible consequences.

Reminds me of an old saying.

    Hello there,
I am a member of the original craft forum that the lads mum originally posted on. Ann Marie is a moderator on there. I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post the web address but the name is csnsforum (candles soap and scent) You can read Ann Maries original post there. You can also read the pheebay forum where somebody has actually rung her and also spoken to the local hospital who have confirmed this without giving too many details, for obvious reasons.
Hope this helps you all & PLEASE if possible send him a birthday card.
Thankyou so much for reading this!
    Vanya x

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to let us know, it's much appreciated. I'm just back from the PO, but I'll be going again tomorrow.

There is also now a copy of a message from Anne-Marie on the Pheebay forum (General Chat, you can't miss it) if you want to go and read that.

There is absolutely no doubt that this is genuine, although I can understand why some folks are apprehensive.

If you click the link in my post you'll see where the online map says the address is and it doesn't match what was given.
