    Smile Define antique in papergoods

I have searched the web, and found hundreds of opinions on the definition of an antique. Regarding sewing patterns, postcards and such, many sites on the web defines an antique paper good as 50 to 60 years old that was important to an era.
Since paper goods typically have a lesser life span than glass, pottery, wood and other items, I would like to know if eBid has a definition regarding paper goods and what is an antique.

What is vintage, collectible and antique on papergoods?

Thank you in advance for any direction on this!!
    sincerely,
    barbara

packaging on old items is certainly collectable in its own right it denotes a time a product was issued, often reflects the style of the times, collectors may want to collect a whole serise of the same item from different eras just for the different packaging

I was informed that to be an antique, an item had to be 100 years old or more.
Anything newer I would personally class as vintage as of an era.
    1920's vintage etc...
