Thread: "Rare Books"

  1. #1

    Default "Rare Books"

Rare Books could be a sub category or "books"

Far too subjective. Just list your book under the right subject and let the buyers decide if it's rare or not.

I agree with bykimbo. we already have plenty of book categories where you can list your 'rare' book

The trouble is, you would have people listing all sorts of books in there, just because they happen to think their book is rare. As Kimbo said earlier, it's far better to list in the correct category and let the buyers decide if it's rare.

LOL really? Well if somebody who *wants* searches that way couldn't find it, it clearly doesn't work. I rest my case.

I wouldn't object to "signed" as a category, perhaps it should be renamed?

Oooh yes, that would be good! I have a handful that are signed - just got to get around to listing them....I could spend the next year listing everything I have to potentially sell! (I think you can easily envisage the state of our house! )

Loads of people list items as 'Rare' when they patently are no such thing!

Not a good idea - people generally know what they are looking for.

    Default Rare or Common?

I agree with bykimbo as well. I have found on one search engine alone that there is over 150 million books for sale.
