    Default Yankee Candle Wax Tarts.

    Wax tart Phenomena

Many people have asked so here is the official Yankee description of what a wax potpourri tart is.

Experience the authentic, true-to-life fragrance and renowned Yankee Candle® quality that have made us America's favorite. Discover the exceptional, easy-to-use home fragrancing of our Tarts® wax potpourri ... there's no wick and no flame to burn away any of the scent. Simply place in a wax potpourri warmer (never add water) and light an unscented tea light below, or use one of our electric warmers. As the wax melts, it releases its scent. Mix and match scents to create your own personal aroma blends. They're also perfect for scenting drawers or cupboards ... anywhere they're stored. Sold individually; each one comes wrapped and labeled.

Basically, it is a piece of wax which is designed to fit into an oil or wax burner and it melts and gives of a fantastic, strong scent which will fill your whole house with a fragrance that stays for as long as 24 hours after your tealight has burnt out.

Used the same way as you would use oils but without the fuss of water and the fear of it burning dry and cracking your burner. When it cools down it simply flips out.

Each tart has a burn tome of about 8 hours before the scent goes and some can last for 20 hours.

Hope that helps you understand what a wax tart is.

    Angus.

I've got some of the sweetpea wax tarts and they smell so gorgeous. Their fragrance fills up the room quicker than the candles I find

I remember the sweetpea ones ,they stopped making them about 2 years ago. They were nice though, shame but you did well to find them.
