Hi Hush, and welcome! The sales on good comics seem to be rather good here. There are some specialty items listed that have done well also - signed and comic art work, etc. I have noticed that you need good pictures to do more sales - seem to be more occasional browers than die hards who will know from your description exactly what you are selling. Hope that helps.
thank klj
thinking for transfering from Ebay as they have just put the small guys fees up by over 100%.
but if sales are good the heres where ill stay.
If you have some regular buyers over there, let them know you will be selling on here now. A lot of the sellers have done that and it has helped. Some have lowered their prices here too, as the fees are so much less, and told their buyers that to bring them over. Also, you can put a link in your emails to a join eBid page. If you go for the seller + account you can open a store for free as well. Lots of info. on the help boards - so just ask if you have any questions. And good luck!
I would say that comic sales are slow on this site at the moment but at least there are new sellers listing many items recently, which has got to be good news as a seller and buyer of comics
I am another seller who has closed a feebay shop and have opened an ebid one with the same ID visualliterature. I am advertising my switch & hope more buyers & sellers will join me here, I know of at least 1 personally who has done the same so hopefully the comic activity here will grow.
Yes, Its me.......I can tell your impressed :-)
Comic sales have been a bit slow, but with more of us listing, we can only hope to entice people over from the dark side.
As always I dream that one day this mad obsession will actually enable me to retire (Hopefully before I'm 95)

Hi and welcome. I've been here selling comics for several years now. In general it's slow, with sporadic bursts of sales as people "find" the site and have an initial dabble. If you're listing here I'd recommend that you do the following:
1. Always give items BUY IT NOW prices as well as auction prices. Almost all sales I make are in this format. People seem to like getting the items quickly even it it costs them a bit more than waiting for the auction to finish. This seems in marked contrast to the way most people bid on EBAY.
2. Always list items at the minimum price your prepared to take. EBID doesn't currently have the buyers that EBAY does. I often list expensive items on EBAY starting at 99p because it encourages buyers and I know 99% of cases it will reach the price I want. On EBID if you list something very cheap, chances are you'll end up getting only one bid and selling it very cheap.
3. Be clear you'll discount postage if people buy multiple items.
4. Make yourself a shop with good, sensible categories (something I still need to fix on my shop). The listing categories here are a bit limited and the searching function isn't the best.
Good luck,
Illudius
Come visit my Comic Emporium, it's lovely

Hi, it seems part of the problem is there are no major dealers of older material listing on ebid. One of two of them would dramatically change comic books sales.
