Okay I used that word loosely. But now the question is since I am 65 and the hip is 0 and that averages 32 1/2 is that my new age or do I have to keep acting older?

I think you can tell I'm feeling better or maybe just sillier.

The other day our SIL asked how bad I was hurting and I told him not as bad as before the surgery. I don't think anyone knew how bad I was hurting and it came on gradual so I don't think I knew either until I got relief. I am doing therapy on my own, just doing what the therapists have shown me. The nurses will come to the house until the 24th and longer if I need them. I don't go back to the doctors until April 7 and they don't want me to be out in public until then. Flu is rampant and they don't want me to get it (well, neither do I)!

I did go to church Sunday but several were coughing so thought I probably should have stayed home.

So glad to hear your progress and since I had ask prayer for you at the church where I go (they are familiar with the church where you used to attend) they will be happy to hear the outcome. The Lord is so good and He will keep helping you.

Peggy, it is a small world, there aren't many places I go where someone hasn't heard of Kirksville or knows someone in the area. I'm sure if we wanted to do some name dropping we would be familiar with several.

Thinking about you Linda and also praying that things will go smoothly for you. I've met several people, over the years, who have said that they were so glad that they had done this.

You've probably heard the story of the rowboat and I think that there are times when God heals outright and times when He sends "the rowboat". No matter whether He heals us outright or sends us the help, it is an answer to prayer. He has given you the strength to make this decision and I believe He will give you the strength to carry on. Praying that God totally oversees your operation and recovery.

Sofiag1964 (Sophia) - (1/17) Praise Report: "my sister is doing well & continue to improve since diagnosed with brain embolism; my niece Taya still improving & doesn't need oxygen tank as much due to the swine flu." Also praising God for blessing her with 6 months of free rent in her first shop.

Sofiag1964 (Sophia)- (1/17) Requesting prayer for her fibromyalgia condition that is putting a strain on her physical strength as she runs her business.

Hopeful2 (Sandy) - (1/17) Requesting continued prayers for her daughter Rene who has been struggling with cardiac problems. Rene is also homebound and is in need of prayers for the prosperity of her business of making & selling jewelry online. Rene's restoration to a state of wholeness in spirit, mind & body is the focus of prayer. [Jeremiah 33:3]

Youmeus - (1/23) Is requesting prayers due to a very difficult week for her & her loved one's. Oh's Uncle was admitted to a facility due to Alzheimers. Neighbor with cancer awaiting source & treatment information. Her brother had surgery on Thursday for removal of a portion of his colon. ADIL's father had an aneurism, & it reportedly looks bad.

Youmeus (Linda) had a doctor's appointment & was scheduled for a total hip replacement on Feb. 14th. Prayers for God's peace & strength needed to help Linda and her loved ones meet these difficult challenges. (3/8/2011) Linda reports on continuing to feel better since her successful hip surgery on Valentine's Day (2/14/11).

Update (1/27) Youmeus reported family of DIL made decision to take father off life support on 1/26/11 and he passed away 3 hours later. Continue to pray for the families peace and strength. Also neighbor, Frank will be starting a treatment plan for esophageal cancer. Continue prayers for him that the treatment plan will be effective and that he will be able to tolerate the treatments.

Youmeus - (1/30) Linda is thankful to God for providing traveling mercies for their family who attended DIL's father's funeral. She shared testimony of her DIL (Joy) concerning her father's passing (see 1/27 update above & post # 1076).

Youmeus - (3/8) Linda is thankful for the many prayers received for her hip surgery on 2/14/11; she is in self-directed rehab & recovering nicely. PTL!

hi guys!!! I've missed you all so much. Praise God for all that you've come through and heartfelt hugs to all who need it.

we're doing well on this side of the pond. I will be able to keep up a little better now as I'm typing on my laptop from work. When I get home after the whole day at the shop, I just get on the couch and I'm out like a light for a few hours. Then, I get up, eat, take meds then go to bed! It's been like that sincee before Christmas as we were open 7 days a week. Praise God, we're now closed on Sundays!!! Hallelujah!!!! I also have extra help for the shop when the body don't act right. I thank God for the extra help and the strength He's given me to keep going and not give up!

God has and is using me where I am. So, to God goes the glory honor and praise for the chance to be a blessing to someone each day.

You all are blessings to me and I appreciate each and everyone of you.
