"Does anyone else have this problem? Wanting to read half the books that come through?"

That's one of the reasons I mostly sell non-fiction... I don't read it much. The fiction all gets stuck.

To the OP... 'steady on, I'm doin' me best'!

Certain books I do find very hard to let go of. Even when I bought them to sell... it's like saying goodbye to a charming acquaintance who's moving to the other side of the country when, really, you've only just met...

Maybe I should ask for references from buyers.

I have the opposite problem, Bykimbo, the fiction is of no interest to me, but I now have enough non-fiction stacked up to last me about the next 50 years at my present rate of reading. And I'll be due for my telegram from the King/Queen/President long before then.
Now that all my auctions on the darkside have finished I have now started listing some books here, some fiction to start with, hope to list a lot more soon.

    Welcome!

There's a bulk lister which would make things quicker. I can copy and paste several hundred books from an Excel spreadsheet, fiddle a bit, save as a tab delimited txt file and upload - all in about 10 minutes.

The longest bit is chopping title and author down to the 55 characters.

And why is it when you decide to read a book you've had listed for ages, get half way through, and then someone buys it!!

Ah, I *never* risk that... if I decide to read something from stock, it comes off sale until I've finished. I'd worry I was going to get jam on it or drop it in my tomato soup or something anyway.

I've just started to list books, mainly romance books.

    Hi Wandadog,
I have loads of books listed but they are virtually a non-starter - my other items are selling much better.
But, having seen how many B&M bookshops are closing around us, it is no surprise that sales are equally dire.
Will just have to keep plugging away for another few months and then yet another trip to the charity shops. Although, to be honest, I don't think they can sell them either- there is a whole row of my cast-offs in Oxfam

Books must be a hard category. (to live on that is)
I suppose they are one thing that every one has some of they would like to get rid of to raise some cash.
We all have a library of books that we may never read again.
    I only ever read non-fiction.
Some rare books must be worth a lot.
Your average fiction book, is never going to be worth much, especially as there are often huge book fairs where they give the stuff away.
