Is playstation 4 in develpment yet?

Just wondered cos im looking forward to the next playstation.

lol sir.i think nintendo have done well after the last few years what with nintendo 64 and gamecube.Nintendo wii is great for family and freinds,theyve done well this time.

I expect it is well into the concept stage, although don't expect anything concrete in the next couple of years. Sony made some mistakes with the PS3, meaning that several exclusives were lost; hope they can get it right next time.

There's still plenty to come out of the PS3 - the games that are out today are not showing it's full power at all. Compare CoD3 on the PS2 to something like Red Faction, CoD3 looks like it could be on a different console!

PS4 is due for release in about 18 months time

It even shows what the PS4 will look like and there is also a new Xbox in the making called Xbox 720 and a new WII called the WIIveloution

I haven't even seen any ps3 games in action yet after what I thought was a very disappointing ps2, controllers also were very unreliable

I'll believe it when I see it on the shelves, not before. Besides, who in their right mind is going to buy a PS4 so soon after the PS3 has been released? Software companies have invested a lot in development, they won't be able to jump to a new platform and produce great games that quickly (unless the PS4 is just a development of the PS3 and is not significantly different, as with PS2 and PS3).

I quite agree, Bourne! I'd prefer developers to concentrate on the PS3 for a few years to get the best out of the console.

I don't need the PS4 to come out for another 5 years. I just bought the PS3 for my kids for Christmas and paid almost $500.00 and then bought a couple of games. They need to ware this one out before they start begging for the next one!
