I wants you to fill in categories you plan to use to divide up items in your store. They are the ones that appear on the left when you are looking at someone elses store.

Congratulations on gettin as far as you have!

If you need anymore help just ask, it is midnight here so goodnight.

There are 3 sections to complete before your eBid Store can go live</B>. Upload a banner or logo for your eBid Store, create all the categories you require and finally setup your title, description, colors and set your status to live. After you are live just start auctions as normal and you will see the extra option for adding your auction to your Store.

I'm not sure about the classicification bit... don't remember seeing that! How the categories work is: you have top-level cats they call "parent" and then you can have sub-categories attached to each of those.

Suppose you sell beads and card-making stuff. You would add a parent cat for each of those by putting "beads" in the box and pressing the "add" button. Then "cards" in the box and press the "add" button. You will see your parent categories listed beneath the add boxes.

If you want to split those down, for example by colour, you can then type "blue" into the sub-cat box and select "beads" from the "choose parent" drop-down menu, and press "add" to add it to your catalogue.

Once you have your cats set up, when you add an item to sell it will ask you which shop, which cat and sub-cat you want to to be listed in.

    Is that any help!?

    Default Re: Help opening store

I have had three attempts at opening up a Store without success. I appear to be going in circles. I have downloaded a logo (although it looks a bit scrunched I will tweak after I get the shop set up). Next I put in a store description (less that the max but more than 10). I updated Section 2. Next I was asked to put in Parent Categories (not sure if I did this right). Then clicked online and was told description too short had to be more than 10 characters. It was. When I went to check the description had disappeared, so I put it back in. Updated Section 2 and then clicked online. Was told the select Parent Categories. And so it went on and on. I gave up. Now on thinking I will revisit the Category bit as maybe I have not understood what is required. Has anyone else have this problem and can help?
