Do you consider that it's 'better' than the one listed for £55? If not, I'd be temped to list it for around £50, and be the cheapest one around, and therefore have more chance of selling (and it doesn't 'owe' you much). I guess it's a case of how quickly you would like to sell it.

Also, although I don't know if this is true of books (I guess one of the other book sellers will be able to confirm this), generally with limited editions the lower numbers fetch more than the higher numbers, and you have quite a high number. I sold hundreds of limited edition model vehicles and the number 10 of 1000 would generally sell for over three times as much as say number 600 of 1000, strange, but true...

Anyhow, best of luck and I hope you sell it

The £55 copy doesn't appear to have a slipcase, it's No.437, very close to mine but I think No.444 could be more desirable. If it was a car registration number it certainly would be but I don't know if book values work the same way

Thanks for your input, I'll report back when sold

Just a quick comment regarding the above statement and Bookfinder in general. As stated above you should be careful with determining prices, as many books from bookfinder are sourced from the sites like Abebooks, and quite frankly probably about 90% are overpriced. Also be careful with grading systems as one person selling a book at "fine condition" can vary from another stating their book is in "fine condition" and again if you see a book you have stated at £400 on bookfinder. You have to ask yourself quite a few factors before you can accept that your book is worth that. I.e. is your book the same print run? if it is the same print run, then is it the same publisher? and also consider is it a us or UK edition....

all these aspects and a few more come into play, when determining a book price and actually getting the true value that a book is worth.

And congrats on selling your book for the price you did

Wow, I'm impressed. Congratulations, that was 40p well spent.

I'll probably look at those Morton ones a bit more closely from now on - actually I have a shelf of them, but they're all the £5-10 ones that I haven't got around to listing.
