Default Coin Collectors/Sellers-Endangered To Growing Species On eBid

I entered an interesting thread titled " Are There Any Coin Collectors Out There" It took me awhile to notice that it was first dated 6/12/2003.

I noticed today that postings followed as:
    2003 Total - 5 2006 Total - 0
    2004 Total - 0 2007 Total - 4
    2005 Total - 1 2008 Total - 1

This was particularly interesting to me because I signed up for eBid in May as a collector & seller of coins. There were 19 coin stores when I joined; there are now 24 (that's 5 new coin stores in approximately 3+ weeks @ 21% growth or more) in a short period of time.

That being said, here is a shout out HI! to all veteran coin stores and to all newbie coin stores from Eb*y, Bidville, and beyond.

HELLO & WELCOME DOUG & MINDY:

Thank you for responding. It appears as if coin collectors & sellers are not quite as social as some of the other ebidders. I have also been involved with eb*y as buyer & seller; not selling there right now.

Sales a bit slow here; so I'm focusing on setting my store up properly. Adding google services to increase visibility.

Actually coasted google search and my listings are mostly on page 1 and near the top. That has not yet translated into sales, and for me that is the bottom line.

Well thanks again for stopping by; hope a few more fellow coin enthusist will come on by.

Take care and best of wishes to you on selling and buying on eBid.

    ~Ava~

    Hello CRM Coins:
Never Too Late To Stop In. I've watched your growth & your strategies of selling. I admire how you run your business. Must be a power seller. As I was saying in my original post, have noticed much growth in this venue. Hope that trend continues.
Question: Do you anticipate being involved in wholesale/lot offerings?

Just joined Ebid this year 2008. More of a collector of British coins than a seller. But i do sell my unwanted surplus coins, to fund my hobby.
Plenty of hits on the coins that are on, but no sales as of yet. But early days.
I do also sell on the dark side, but i decided to try Ebid, as i feel the dark side is intent on committing financial suicide, with its hair brained ideas.

    ****Stop Press*****
Sold two coins today Thursday 17th July, my first sales on Ebid.

    Hi fox1uk17:
Welcome to Ebid & To This Thread! I'm a collector & seller of coins, mostly USA. Don't really understand too much about foreign coins, but I do enjoy checking them out. I have the same issue you have; plenty of views/hits, but not near enough sales. I'm trying to be patient because I see the potential for growth here.

I buy on eb*y sometimes but I don't sell there, because the environment is not seller friendly. Ebids a good deal; at least you don't get sunk with fees when things are slow.

Where is your signature? It helps others find you easier & helps to promote your site. Wish you success on your sales and buying.

Note: I found you. You do have an image. You could use same for your signature. I see your an active buyer, so as far as I'm concerned you should be in good position to make sales also. Like you said, it' early. Give it some more time. I believe things will pick up in general, because a lot of new people are joining ebid all the time.

    Hi Burgyeb,
have managed to sort out my signature properly now. Also i sold two coins to the same buyer, my first sales.
Think you are right, hang on in there.
A lot of people are moving from feebay, because of the in house chaos, and who can blame them.
