Thread: Am I in the wrong place?

  1. #1

Default Am I in the wrong place?

I have noticed that everyone seems to be from the UK.

Have I stumbled onto someone else's territory or is there anyone else from the USA here?

    Am I missing something? lol

    Hi welcome to eBid
You are in the right place the forums are international. A lot of forum users are from the UK as UK is a far more established site and has been running longer than the USA.
Keep looking in and you will see posters from USA later due to time diference they are probably in bed, not everybody a night owl like you LOL

    Thanks for the reassurance alm!

I still am not sure about moving to this site. I definately want to get away from Ebay but will miss some of the features.

I am torn. I need the ebay money so it is scary to move to a place where people post about not getting sales.

    I'll keep reading and posting.

I have yet to upgrade so I can sell, but am moving ever closer to that direction since everyone seems so friendly around here!

    Thanks again!

Answer It depends on what you get used to eBid has features that eBay hasn't. Just a case of working differently!

Answer eBay is good at giving you a cash flow with having money back for items purchased wholesale but in the end it comes down to proffit and the choice is yours
    1. do it the eBay way and sell 50 units for a profit of of $5
    or
    2. Do it eBid way sell 20 for a profit of $5
We can all be abusy fool as can be seen by the 11000+ feedback I left on eBay

    I'll keep reading and posting.

Answer good keep reading and posting the more you can learn the better

Answer Upgrade and get stuck in. One persons experience is that one persons you will not know for sure on your line/way of doing things if it will work until you do it.
    Thanks again!
    Good luck to you

as alm says there are a lot of UK posters on here as it is/was mainly a UK site. However I have noticed in the short time I've been here, there are a lot more Americans and even a few Australians coming here now

as for your second post.... I use to have 3000 listings on the dark side, but it was getting to the point that the fee's were making it imposible to make a good living there. I admit sales are not as big here... but what I lose in sales I make up for in profit, so on the whole I am as well off if not slightly better off

I am from the USA and have found this site to be very good. We all have to work together no matter where we live to make this a great site for all. My thanks go out to those who started this and have let us join!

I have not had as many sales as some but I am only a hobby seller and patient--it will all work soon! I made 2 sales over the weekend.
