I'm listening to Duncan Bannatyne's book 'Anyone can do it...My Story'
I'm currently reading Perdido Street Station, whenever I get some time. Great book if you like science fiction and steam punk.
I've just finished "Sandakan" (the untold story of the Sandakan death marches) by Paul Ham.
I'm currently re-reading "Sandakan" (A conspiracy of silence) 4th edition by Lynette Ramsay Silver.
The horrific true story how the dishonourable Japanese soldiers in Borneo during WW2, murdered 2428 Australian & British prisoners after the fall of Singapore.
One of my uncles among them.
1787 Australian
641 British
Only 6 survivors, all Aussie escapees. Without them, the true story would never have been told.
Nothing heavy here - doing Graham Hurley's Jo Farraday (the Pompey cop) series. Shows my City very well, warts an' all. And a bit too close for comfort at times!
"Lovers on the Nile" by Richard Hall - the story of Sir Samuel & Lady Baker; the Victorian explorers who discovered Lake Albert and the Murchison Falls - and reached the source of the River Nile.
We lived in Khartoum for 5 years in the early 1980s and I love reading any book I can find about the place and the The Sudan in general.
The title is a bit of a misnomer, but the book is well written and a good read for dark winter evenings
Those all sound like really great books...........tho I'm not sure what steam punk is. Right now the only book I'm reading is (I'll say it in English) Beginning Welsh Course. What a challenge! I think I deserve some nice easy read. Usually I grab one of my art books and read about different techniques in acrylic, or collage, or watercolors when I want a light read before bed. Pretty pictures. I like books with pictures!!! lol
Ta-Ta for now!

OMG how awful! My grandfather served in the Pacific during WW2, he went to Okinawa with the Army Corps of Engineers; fortunately he made it back in one piece, though he never did sleep terribly well in later years.
Currently reading 'Harold: The Last Anglo Saxon King,' and 'History of England' by GM Trevelyan. I just love old history books.
Best wishes for many sales to all,
