Actually, I think what you choose to read in your own language would be quite an interesting conversation, since I know your taste sort of well in English - the comparison would be fun.

I am reading Princes, Frogs & Ugly Sisters: The Healing Power of the Grimm Brothers' Tales.

Remember, You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince?
Well, apparently that is Disney, not the original.
So the book is about de-Disneyfying life.

It's not that much different from what I read in English. But my sister gave me a book by Virginia Ironside whose original title is:No, I don't want to join a book club! It's written in form of a diary , great fun and I am tempted to have a look if I can find an English copy and / or a copy of the other one I saw in the shops (can't remember the title) I also enjoy re-reading the books I from my youth

I've been rediscovering Enid Blyton since I started working in the bookshop - I can take them off the shelf, read them and put them back in the course of a day's work. *beam* Don't worry, I'm a very tidy reader, the books don't suffer! I always think translated books are so in the hands of the translator - an obvious statement, but you know what I mean - a good book could be ruined by poor translation. Must be a heck of a skill.

    LOL!

Kimbo, it must be great fun working in a bookshop, I used to visit the local regularly when I had spare $ and always envied the folks in there with their coffees who seemed to be having a wonderful time. I'm sure there are down sides of course, as with any job, but as a buyer all I saw were the positives.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
