Oh! How lucky you are. I love St David's and the surrounding area. We walk a lot so it's bliss. I like the shops, especially the crafty things and its nice to relax in one of the many eating places whether for a cuppa and cake or an nice lunch, etc. The bus service is very helpful too if, like us, you don't like using the car too much when on holiday. Can get a bus one way and walk back. Just lovely!
Just finished Tiger in the smoke by Margery Allingham. Hadn't read anything from her for ages, but enjoyed it. (although the ending was not as I had expected)
I've been reading a few Peter Robinson "Inspector Banks" books lately. Still not quite sure about them - some of the plotting seems a bit obvious and I'm never sure if that's done on purpose: let the reader spot the murderer to feel superior! A decent "second rank" read, I think.
Well...right now I am on only 67 page out of 620 pages a Book ''Someone Would Have Talked: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Conspiracy to Mislead History''...nice stuff, scary stuff, real stuff and because of that November 22. 1963 we still paying high price for everything what happened in here in the past almost 47 years....
Dog Days, Glenn Miller Nights, by Laurie Graham. It was a "buy to sell", but I happened to glance at the first few pages and I'm hooked. Funny and quirky and charming. Lovely stuff.
Hi I am reading B.Jay's Highland Pearls. very funny but also interesting.
I'm almost done reading "The Genesis Mystery" by Dr. Jeffrey Goodman. Fascinating history of homo sapiens in the Americas, with some interesting ideas.
Just finished "Spike Milligan" by Humphrey Carpenter and am in the middle of "Sacred Treason" by James Forrester.
Milligan was a strange man and the bio is not afraid to show his nasty side.
Forrester's book is set in Elizabethan England is a good adventure.
