Picked up a copy of Georgette Heyer's "Why Shoot a Butler" the other day, so re-reading that. I know I've already got one somewhere, but I can't remember where I last saw it. *blush* Anybody who likes classic whodunnits, but doesn't like romances (me!) don't be put off by the author - she writes a good, classic, murder mystery.

I am reading a Ngaio Marsh Inspector Allen. I can't remember the title (eek) Might be When in Rome. That comes from having a protective cover on the book, so I can't see the title

"Got Fight?" by Forest Griffin (super funny, but very coarse and vulgar)
"The Picture of Dorian Grey and Other Writings" by Oscar Wilde

Just finished - "The Wind Up Girl" by Paolo Bacialupi - Very, Very good. Highly suggested!

Reread recently - EINSTEIN's DREAMS ("Consider a world in which cause and effect are erratic," writes Lightman. "Scientists turn reckless and mutter like gamblers who cannot stop betting.... In this world, artists are joyous." In another dream, time slows with altitude, causing rich folks to build stilt homes on mountaintops, seeking eternal youth and scorning the swiftly aging poor folk below. Forgetting eventually how they got there and why they subsist on "all but the most gossamer food," the higher-ups at length "become thin like the air, bony, old before their time.")
    Ta-Ta for now!

I'm currently reading Danny Wallace's Awkward Situations for Men - it's hilarious. Don't read it at the dinner table or you'll choke

Terrific. As you know, I'm a fan of Heyer's whodunnits too.

I've just finished my first Val McDermid, and as my Twitter followers will know, didn't think much of it. Now started Peter Robinson's Wednesday's Child, which I expect to enjoy much more.

My book of the moment is Hill of Dreams by Arthur Machen. Just discovered him at that lovely little bookshop in St David's, by the Cathedral.
