I'm reading FAT by Rob Grant. It's funny, observant, and horribly believable. By one of the guys who wrote Red Dwarf. Set in an only fractionally different version of "now" when being fat has become so unacceptable that the obese are penalised at every turn. It has a wonderfully irrascible celebrity chef in it. I'm four fifths of the way through, and still have no idea how it's going to finish...

So what was the final verdict on this one? good to the end?

Ooh yes, sorry should have reported back. FAT was excellent, a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Just finished "The Watchman" by Robert Crais. One of his Cole & Pike books, but this one focusses on Pike more. Cracking good thriller. If you like crime writing with a fast pace and a bit of thriller action, these are great. Plenty of action, enough humour to leaven the mix, not too much gore.

I'm reading "Make a Fortune Promoting Other People's Stuff Online" by Rosalind Gardner......I don't read fiction at all, except the occasional Discworld novel

I've decided to take the plunge and delve into Zecharia Sitchin's immense body of work. Starting at the beginning with the 45th printing, 30th anniversary edition of Twelfth Planet.

Dipping in and out of Homage to Catalonia by Orwell.
and of course the collectors Gazette and ebid forums
