Max Arthur's the real Band of Brothers.
Its about all the british men and women the went to fight the rise of fascism in the spanish civil war.
can't beleave the lengths some of them went to just to stand up for what they beleaved in.
Most had no training and no support from the British goverment they just wanted to get to Spain and stop the rise of Fascism.
Me thinks this would not happen today.

I have finished my first Raymond Chandler 'The High Window'. Most enjoyable, and look forward to reading more. Yesterday I read 'The Case Of The Missing Books' by Ian Sansom. And although it wasn't what I had expected, it was a good read and I shall see if there are any more about

I've never tried any Sansom, could you give us an idea of the style?

I can't think of anything to compare it with. It's not a 'heavy' book(less than 250g ) made me chuckle at times, and the ending was't quite what I expected. Saying that, I am useless at giving descriptions (It'll be listed tomorrow)

I'm reading a Craig Thomas thriller at the moment. I'm struggling a bit with it, because it's a bit clunky - and there's so little decent character development that I don't much care what happens to any of them - at the moment I'd be quite happy for the hijackers to blow up the plane and put us all out of our misery.

You brought it from me but I haven't read it.

At the moment I'm reading Killing Floor by Lee Child, thought I would have a change from Alan Dean Foster.

    Very true.
However if I had read it and liked it I wouldn't have sold it so meebo wouldn't have been able to enjoy it.
