Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.
I am 'dipping' into that one too, and can recommend it. I am struggling with my 'Saint' book. I don't find it easy to read. I'll give it a bit longer though before looking for something else
I'm listening to Stephanie Plum book 4 in the kitchen, and a sex-scene while cooking breakfast is a pretty weird thing to listen to, but it was hilarious! The first truly funny (without being farce or slapstick) sex scene I can remember - had me laughing out loud. I am, once again, indebted to the contributors to this thread who recommended these books (and the friend who lent them to me!)
At the moment am reading Velocity by Dean Koontz, it's good, am over half way through it and have'nt worked out who it is or why yet????
Well, I have given up on The Saint Solves The Case and am now reading The Watsons by Jane Austen and Another (it was unfinished). So far very enjoyable
Am re-reading a real old favourite: The Franchise Affair. Classic mystery. Love this book!
I enjoyed The Watsons, so now I have to decide what's next. Last night I discovered that 'The Cat Who..' books are translated into German and some are for sale on e..y.de at €1+pp
I shall indulge and cut down on some luggage weight as they should arrive there by post before me (I hope)
"Arabella" by Georgette Heyer - very light hearted, but still a good read.
I like Georgette Heyer. I haven't read that one and still got a couple on the bookshelf I haven't touched. Currently reading Dr Nightingale rides to the hounds by Lydia Adamson. It falls into the 'cozy crimes' category - nice and easy to read
Have just fininshed gangsters wives by lee martin, now listed in daughter store, am reading Cold Comfort Farm, again, by Stella Gibbins, an old favourite
