I've just read A tale of Two Cities by Dickens, for my reading group. Have to say I didn't like it much, but I did buy it on ebid.

I have just finished reading How green was my mouse? by Dick King-Smith, and yes it is a children's book. But before giving it away, I need to know if it suitable (that is my excuse anyway) I loved it. Now back to The cat who saw red, just a trifle more adult

I'm revisiting the Amphigorey books by Edward Gorey because they are such a cheerful diversion .
I recommended them to someone and then just had to delve back into them myself.

Have you read the Eoin Colfer, Artemis Fowl books? Those are very good.

Just finished Josephine Tey's A Shilling for Candles. She wrote some of the best classic whodunnits in the world, but isn't that well known. I'll be sending this to a friend of mine who's also a fan, so won't be listing it - sorry fellow murder mystery fans.

I'm currently reading The Life Of Graham, which is the official biography of Monty Python star Graham Chapman. Alot of stuff I never knew about him, and them as a comedy team.

Like many comedians, it sounds as though his life was nowwhere near plain sailing. A good book, and certainly worth picking up.

Reading "Fire, burn!" by John Dickson Carr. A whodunnit with built-in time-travel - Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes, before those stories were thought of. Excellent reading so far.
