I've just finished "The History of Underclothes" by C. Willett and Phillis Cunnington, and am about halfway through "The Gettysburg Gospel: The Lincoln Speech That Nobody Knows" by Gabor Boritt.
I have almost finished 'Hanging by a thread' by Monica Ferris. So I'll be away from the computer till I have

I started this morning ' Dr Mortimer and the Barking Man Mystery' I think I shall enjoy it, set in the times of good old Sherlock Holmes
Just getting into "The Crystal Cave" by Mary Stewart - it's brilliant !
Now looking for the rest of the trilogy - think I've found them here on eBid
It's ages since I've read a book that I can't to put down, but have to, because it's gone midnight and I have to get up in the morning!
Finished the Michael Innes. Thoroughly enjoyed it, very much to my taste (old fashioned whodunit) but I must admit to working out who did what, when etc almost immediately. I'll have to read a few more and find out if that's a common flaw I was just lucky this time!
Just started Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella - about a woman who has a car crash and wakes up with amnesia and cannot remember the last three years - during which time she got married and also got rich! It's good to read just before bed so I don't end up dreaming about scanning images and listing postcards!

Half way through Scruples by Judith Krantz. Not my normal read though. I much prefer fiction based in/around WWII. I've always read paperbacks but now I'm starting a collection of hardbacks if/when I can find them.
