I've had 3 x pink slaps so far for mentioning ebid - I'm getting more cunning now - just call it 'the other e-site' - they all know hat we mean anyway!

I think I remember getting a slap for saying Eb*d and not ebid. That was just another posters (negative troll type comment)quote which remained unpulled crazy!!

Sadly, the people adding comments recommending ebid are making the standard mistake of just saying 'ebid'. And so loads of readers will look at ebid.com and never find this site.

If you live in Wiltshire, go add your views!

I think most readers will google for the word ebid - and find it.

If I am looking for a big site - like tescos i google for the word tesco - not tesco.com

Yay, i just listed my first auction on here

I will be contacting my old customers from the other place and letting them know about here. I am sure that it will grow dramatically here, especially if feebay keeps on going on the way it is.

I don't know how widespread it is as i have not seen anyone else mention it, but now apparentley, if you decide to list on feebay from another computer other than your normal one, they want to be be able to have a phone number for a verification call !

I am beginning to wonder why they didn't just announce that they're closing for sellers and just throw everyone off. That's what they're effectively doing, but in a very slow and painful way. They want to be a mall, just selling new stuff from giant corporations, and are working towards that in a singularly inept way.At least if they were upfront about it everyone would know where they stand.

What I don't understand is why they think that they will make as much money from their Kelkoo (and other shopping listings sites,) lookalike as they are at the moment, especially as eBay Express failed so miserably.

IMO the change was done the way it was to hopefully keep the buyers in place.
Keep revenue going from some of the existing sellers until greedbays plans for their Internet Mall were fully in place.

Wish they would just finalise their plans tell the unwanted sellers to move on.
Then those unwanted sellers can make plans for their future.

I believe there are a lot of sellers under the impression that they will be wanted in the new plans.

It's a pity the other side are so arrogant and bullyish that they don't realise the more they drop postings because of mentioning ebid the more they are stoking the fire and provoking more threads about it. They really are dumb and can't see the obvious - as has been shown many times with their various changes. They are due for a good kick up the jacksy

Re the verification if you use an different computer - I had a pop up about that the other day. What a pain as I access the site from a number of places/computers!

One more time wasting change that will wind regular users up! I can access the site from 3 different computers in one day - but won't always be near the home phone to verify that
