Run till sold is just fine thank you. I find it useful for unique items or rare items. The buyer will search for these things, so no need to put them on a 8 day listing. Heaven forbid, I'd have about 1000 spellfire cards to relist every 8 or 9 days and thats not at all funny.

There are other ways to remove abandoned listings, like asking all sellers to relog every so many days to avoid their listings being removed (send an auto warning via email, giving a number of days to comply). Allow for hols, illness etc. When they are removed they can be put in the unsold section, so its easy to re-list if they miss the 2 or 3 warnings.

I didn't vote because the choices are loaded. Please change the vote options to a simple yes, no, don't mind.
I remember everything, even what happened tomorrow.

Sold my first few items on eBid this weekend, all on BIN and run till sold. They'd been listed about a week, so I'm very pleased with this method!

I'm gonna hang in there for as long as it takes. I have lots to list, and opening a new store soon for a jewelry line.
Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Doesn't like it for some reason. Let's try it this way!

    Default I like it

On items that are of minority interest it's great as it means the item is always listed until the right person comes along, instead of the seller having to keep re-listing and paying any listing upgrade fees again to attract attention to their listing. If a seller abandons their listing and decides to sell elsewhere or not at all, well, nobody has really lost anything and that seller should get some deserved bad press. A periodical reminder email may be useful though.

    Default Yes to RUS

I have previously only used fixed price listing services for books, and would be lost without the Run Until Sold feature. I would probably not be here if eBid did not offer it.

I do not deep discount and wholesale so indeed my books and postcards may take a long time to sell (or not sell at all). I signed on for a lifetime because I liked the fit of eBid and wanted to support them, but this is purely an experiment for me as I have not frequented auction venues. This is a very reasonable site and I wish them the best. The major book listing services have become very 'dear' a la eBay with some outrageous fees/commissions.
