Thread: Get rid of the 'Run Until Sold' option

You've got some really interesting stuff there, not to derail the thread too much, but do you have any other survivalist type items, as well as the firestarter? My husband's into that and his birthday is coming up...

Arrrgh, it's costing me a fortune being on here so much, I keep wandering off into the auctions.

run until sold is great but i think the amount of days you can list should be changed to 15 with 10 auto reposts as people are putting items on for 90 days and auto repost which means their items are being seen approx once or twice every 6 months then they complain they not selling lol

i use run til sold but i add buy it now on all of these type auctions which means no waiting for the buyer especially on items i think may take time to sell

If you have a lot of items listed, you don't want the hassle of having to check which ones have finished and relist. They might show up lower in the search results, but that is our choice and they do show up in google products.

I agree that there should be some way of verifying that the user is still active at least once a month, or their auctions go offline.

Maybe a waste of time for you but I have sold 2 items this week from a run till sold. On e**y 1 in 8 sales was from shop's good till cancel so suggest you alter your listings if it's not working for you instead of asking for alterations.

I think Run till sold is a good idea and often use it. I like being able to choose how long an auction will run for.

I say leave all the sales options exactly as they are and let people choose what they want to use. However, as has been said on numerous occasions, auctions from sellers who do not log in periodically - maybe every three months as the max - should be put offline.

I use run till sold on one or two things in each shop. I do log in every day but if ive had a busy day at work then it means i dont have to rush to list to keep store active i know its easy to reactivate but hey i like it that way.

I don't like run until sold but it is a seller's choice. The OP should have waited a week or two before suggesting such a radical change. It would just have been nice manners. It would also be nice manners to put this in the correct place on the forum.
