The number of seconds isn't the point. It's thoughtless and discourteous to require people to do things that shouldn't be necessary. And it's misleading to be displaying info about sellers that is just plain wrong.

If you can think of a system whereby eBid can determine when you last appeared on the site, other than by signing in, I'm quite sure they would be pleased to hear from you.

No it is not that short, I's all saved, I just click log out, then log in and it's all there.

It's called 'cookies' and all the pieces are already in place, Ken. Otherwise, when I visit My eBid, the server would need to be psychic to display my auctions without my logging in.

But what we need is an answer from Gazza to Hazel's question that started this thread. That would be excellent.
