What's to stop you from listing some auctions and finding out? With the ridiculously low fees here - and the option of ZERO fess if you take up the Lifetime offer - you could find out for less than it costs most sellers for one week's listing (not even including FVF's) over there.
Racingpunkuk, in your place I'd run a few listings in parallel with the other site. It takes time to build up a new customer base, here or anywhere so keeping the income stream is good sense. If you have the funds, I'd also say go for the life-time membership and treat this site as a long-term proposition.
Good luck.
I agree with bluefincircle - I am a bronze powerseller and as yet can't afford to give up my e*ay shop; as much as I'd love to!!
I have taken the plunge here - bought the seller+ lifetime and have set up some shops here to run along with e*ay. I have had a few sales here and I would like to have more, but patience and all that!?? I do always put a card in with my e*ay sales telling my customers they can find me here, hopefully they will follow me.
Definitely do both to start with and gradaully make the move over here full time as your sales pick up.
Good luck!
Ok you have sold it to me, iv just paid for lifetime. Thanks for the help.

You won't regret it as long as you are patient and pro-active with your existing customers to let them know you are here. From little acorns...and all that!?
Toycrazy has some great eBid merchandise including tape for parcel wrapping - a good way to advertise.
Welcome and good luck!

Dont forget to let your past buyers know that they can get their items on ebid cheaper, let the buyers know you can offer items cheaper on ebid, as you do not have to pay the high ebay listing, FVF.
email past buyers.
Put a Note in any ebay sales parcels advertising your ebid items.
