Today I have taken a leaf out of 3red123's book.

I don't know if it promotes ebid directly, but I am hoping it puts more links on the web (especially to my ebid.net shop )

It is basically a simple online database for your books.

    have a look

I only have three books listed there at the moment, but give it time.

I notice my Library Thing group 'ebid booksellers', has been deleted.

I guess they thought we might start trying to sell books to everyone on Libary Thing! In fact, the idea behind it was to publicise the name ebid , as well as sharing information between us.

'Oor Wullie', (how I loved those annuals when I was young!) you could add the tag 'for sale' onto your listings, so you can list your personal books, and which ones are for sale.

And add something in your profile about what you do. Get involved in some of the groups and talks, and people will check your profile, hopefully!

A shame about that group being deleted, i ws actually going to join once I got my head around building up my database over there. I have decided it is maybe best to keep a profile there, but a low one and let the web spiders or crawlers whatever they are called pick up the links i have left there.

I've got an eBid stamper which I stamp on the front of all my parcels. I also wrap them with eBid parcel tape. I put an eBid business card in all by feebay parcels.

I'd like to try 2nd life, but I'm worried about getting addicted!

You must try SecondLife, I joined a few weeks ago, you will be amazed at what they are trying to do to promote eBid over there, everyone seems to think it is a game, which it can be, but I treat it as a way of promoting ebid and meeting other ebidders.

    Arrow Woo-HOO!!

Earlier in this thread I posted how I had written Ina Steiner of AuctionBytes requesting they do an article on eBid...I just heard from her today:

Thanks, Mary, they are on the list.

Wow! I'm excited to say the least! I believe when the article comes out about us we will see a huge influx of even more dissatisfied sellers looking for a new home...WHEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee!!
