The first 2 inches of snow, I was able to shovel at one time.
Then the next 2 inches was done in two sessions.
The last time batch of snow was done in two sessions.

I don't push it, especially that this snow was wet and heavy.
The following day was slow going, too. The temperature drop so that was a slow down in shoveling.

Tempetures are minus 4 this morning & it certainly felt it the birds water froze again,

Yes they keep threatening with snow, this morning out dog walking was nice as long as one was wrapped up well,

Hope you don't loose to many branches with the snow weight,,

Just stay safe everyone, & hope the weather doesn't cause to many problems, might mean buyers will have more time to look & buy on line

Good to hear you take it steady Police, I know you get a lot more snow than we do and such low temperatures. The coldest we've had it here in Mansfield has been -3.

We received 12 inches of snow and most of it wet and heavy.

When I went to finished the end of the driveway the last time, my front bushes were snapped off from the snow plow.
The snow was so heavy and they were hanging into the road.
So I had to drag those into the driveway and cut them up.
Went back to the bushes and cut off what I could to clear the roadway.

The following day after all the snow, the temperature dropped below freezing.

That night, we lost power for 12 hours and boy was it cold in the house. The cats were snuggled against me.
I do have a kerosene heater in the house.

Here are a couple of picture of the snow on the trees and the poor birds

I haven't seen too many cardinals this year.
So far there has been 2 males and 1 female.

The bluejays are all over the place and I have my murder of crows. ( normally there are 13 crows )

Thanks for lovely pics Police, you sure are lucky to have such beautiful, colourful birds in your gardens.
    Oh boy, soooo much snow!
We only (very occasionally) get maybe a few flakes of snow floating down, never sticks to the ground. Shame really, as I would love to roll over in deep snow! (AND throw a snowball!!!)

The snakes are looking good , enjoy your holiday,

The bird pictures are lovely, we get sparrows & robins, & 1 blackbird, at the moment, they chirp away when I am out there to remind me to put food out again had to break water out for the birds again, it keeps freezing over.

They have just said local the weather will go to 4 degrees, but still they are not certain but think it will be rain not snow. so won't have to doge Nigel wanting to throw snow balls.
