I almost choked reading this. LOL

Remember - it does take hours to cook.

I picked up some sliced ham and devil eggs potato salad.
Trying not to have a lot of electricity items going until next week's electric project is done.

Cool and breezy. Not sure if I will be working outside today or get another project done inside.
I finally went through the last bag of magazines, that a friend gave me, and cut out the items I wanted for junk journals and now, they are resting in the recycle bin. That was 4 bags of magazines with at least 30 magazines in each. Now I am happy to get rid of them and the project.

I still have some letters to do and I think I will get my Christmas cards ready.
I use to send my Christmas cards the day before Thanksgiving and some people would receive their cards the day after. I LIKE BEING FIRST. LOL

They do have some good movies like Little Women, Holiday and such.

Colder here as the afternoon has gone on .. and what a strange day!!!

Curtains seen better days and would not survive another wash I do not think, they are that old and battered. Ordered (rather inexpensive to say the least) curtains 8.45am Monday morning from Harry Corry - 2 pairs of 90" x 90" (actual size could be 66" x 54" but I like them wall to wall) for the living room and 1 pair 70" x 90" for the lobby, pencil pleat with rufflet tape and lined (old fashioned maybe nowadays but I like them that way ). Delivery suggested as 4-10 working days. Email this morning and sure enough delivery 11am today (Thursday), 3 days only - nice, especially as cleaner due 2pm today. Sat and got them pulled together to size, then cleaner emailed, not coming till 3.30pm ... so took down old ones one at a time and got the hooks to be ready, then she emailed not coming till after 4. So there I am hanging onto a stepladder for grim death, sweating, feeling dizzy, muttering words of wisdom such as 'I am too old for this carp'! and with plenty of sitdowns and liedowns got the 4 in the living room done, the lobby can wait for another day. Emailed her about 5pm with title ?Problem. Evenually got a reply, car dead, totally broken so giving up her cleaning business till next year .. Oh dear says I, poor you, hope it all works out, Bye. Not convinced but who knows - hope the next one is more reliable with time lol. Feeling rather full of myself ... but bet I ache like L tomorrow!

Last night I took one of the two remaining Stroggis out of the freezer - just had it and it was gloriously tasty (read it and weep little Buttons)

Well the second lot of district nurses never showed up so we will never know how long it takes to cook one. But Cats a friend went and got me two stroganoffs, a box of cornflakes and some angel cakes so I am all set until Tuesdays delivery.
