oh Sarge! I really feel for you. Hopefully it won't drag on for too long. In the past I had to stay with a partner after we split up and know how hard it is.

This is early in Wisconsin, USA for all the spring flowers.
We could get still get snow until the end of May.

There's grape hyacinth, and some of the creeping phlox and tulips is blooming.

Having been there, it's amazing how high you can pile things in a corner. Throw a cloth over boxes and turn them into tables. You will find a way to keep what you really want, and perhaps your kids would like some of it. Take photos of anything you can't keep - what you really want are the memories. If you have valuables, keep those, or put in a safety deposit box. Will order an extra ration of special sauce for when you are done for the day. Don't drink and drive, and don't drink and toss - if you think you could be considered a suspect or accomplice!

Sgt her majesty is right amazing what you can pack into boxes & cover them up. the good thing you have to remember that he will be out of your way if he has that room, & would think he will be itching to go off as soon as lockdown is over. We are thinking of you.

Had a phone call from the gardener that does MIL's garden, he feels he will try & get some done today, so had to then ring to remind her that she has to stay back from him.

At least then sun is trying to come out so may get in to garden later.

By the way Sgt 10 of the cards finished so Somer sent a invoice & hes paid up they are going to Switzerland

Ello troops. Well Lieutenant Maplegin he may be itching to be off but :-

1/ He won't have any money to do anything for a long time as he has to pay for all the building work and things like two washing machines ( he suddenly want's a new one for himself now after all the years I've had to put up with the old machine breaking down on me !) and a fridge, sink, microwave and bed for himself. The guest double bed in my dad's room is too big to fit into the small bedroom so he will have to get rid of that and buy a smaller one. Plus fix all the things on my side of the house that he has neglected for years. I also want a new bathroom window the old one is wooden and I won't be able to paint the outside of it by myself as it is high up and the ground slopes away, I might be able to get up a ladder for the kitchen one as the ground is flatter. Also there are going to be solicitor's bills and my finances.

2/ Pubs will still be closed and I can't see airports opening up again anytime soon and if they do there will be strict quarantine laws.

3/ He's been doing online teaching but I think his work place has said there will be a need to be teaching for part of the summer holidays to catch up on things.

Thanks for the quote Private Mcc2 I'm afraid my spirit has been so crushed mentally over the last 20 years, being put down all the time, that it will be a long long time before I ever remotely get back to the person I used to be.

Drat, I can't even shout at Corporal Somerset as I seem to have had a couple of newbies crawl under the wire !
