I'm sorry if I don't seem my usual self but I am now being forced to make some life changing decisions by my O/H and I'm in pieces at the moment, I might well have to sell my home of 36 years or split my house in two. Apparently I am still not good enough after 42 years.
It seems he has two or three other women in mind that he would like to go travelling with because I can't do all the hiking and cycling and things that he wants to do !

So if you don't see me on the boards for a while don't be alarmed.

Sarge, no-one has publicly replied to you yet so I will take the plunge and hope that my words will be of some comfort. They are spoken from my heart, with deep sincerity, but may appear harsh in some/all respects.

Not good enough after 42 years? - wrong thinking clearly otherwise 42 years could not have been reached!

Some simple ABC tips - spoken from experience -

A- dmonish yourself positively (but gently) for not having seen the writing on the wall sooner!
B- race yourself! Protect your finances/security in the best way possible for YOU.
C- onsole yourself! Neither his body nor his brain can keep up with the chosen pace of life much longer. My own ex was similarly stupid after I left him - and had a quadruple bypass later.... (oh lol! such a joy! - still worthy of a giggle!).

You grew up, he hasn't.... that's life, sadly, sometimes - deal with it!

Many of us have been in similar situations, and it's scarey, and maddening, and freeing, all at once. You will be fine, whatever YOU decide to do. As I've said about times like this......How cold do you have to get in the middle of the night before you get out of bed and get a blanket? You have been dealing with this for a long time, it seems, and probably have been thinking about the various scenarios for awhile. Sounds like he wants to leave. Get some good legal advice on your own,, take a deep breath. You will be fine. You have been through worse. You will be fine. Repeat as needed. We are here for you. Want me to sic Philpott on him? I could give Phil the car keys..........(Who WAS that masked man who said that last bit...……….which way did he go? I didn't say that, mind you...……….)

Thank you for the kind words troops it means a lot. I'm just in a daze at the moment, I can't think straight or concentrate on anything and who knows how many more weeks this lock down will go on for.

Becky, so sorry to hear that this has happened.
You need to look after youself and think of YOU!

I've been married twice and understand the pain at the time, first divorce was straight forward, the second, well, that was real painful.
I was left with no money and eventually nowhere to live plus 4 teenage boys to look after when she walked out.
Never actually got around to getting the divorce finalised, she died first!

You can survive, the help is out there and more importantly, you have the eBid army behind you.
