Morning one and all - well Sarge, it looks like Spain is heading for complete Lockdown but whether that will affect the Canaries is anyone's guess. Even Morocco has closed it's border to Spain.
Judging by some of the posts on the MH groups, quite a few motorhomers are stuck there instead of crossing back into Spain to travel back to the UK.

Must get on with my p&p editing but with sorting the Old Sailor's stuff and hospital visiting, etc. there hasn't been much time unless I sit up all night and that I'm NOT going to do! I can bulk edit quite a few items, but others are individual as the Sarge knows only too well.

And it's tipping down again out there as if we haven't had enough over the past month.

Ello troops. We had a message from Easyjet yesterday Private Mcc2 saying that they were going to waive any fees for transferring flights if other arrangements had to be made.

I can thankfully say that most of my postage editing is finished thank goodness, just a few more to do. A day of food prepping and cleaning is on the cards to prepare for tomorrow, O/H has a student coming but I'm going to banish them to the sitting room as I need my kitchen !

So I have just been into Asda!
Honestly it was shocking - they had no toilet paper at all.
Reluctantly I headed for the checkout and asked if they had any.
A firm NO was the answer.
Walking back to the toilets with my undies and trousers around my ankles was a walk I never want to do again. ����*♀️��

Well our holiday's looking very much in doubt after yesterday's announcement of a State of Emergency in Spain - which also covers the Canary Islands. And all because Madrid folks fled to the south coast to escape the lockdown and took the virus with them - and to the Canaries. Nothing as yet on Tui website or the FCO travel page. May have to try and contact Tui to see if we can transfer our holiday to September....

More likely to be a slight delay as they configure their plans to deal with group situations in the present climate. A young friend of mine (a god daughter) works in an old people's home. She has had to make contingency plans for childcare in case the place where she works has to go into lockdown. Not easy for anybody.

Mornin' troops. Same here Private Mcc2, not that I really mind as I would much rather be quarantined at home than in a hotel room overseas, but it also looks like our plans to go down for Flora Day in May will also be scuppered with the cancellation of big events and I was really looking forward to that as haven't been since 2004 and we have already paid for the hotel for us and the cadets and our friends for two nights.
Oh well, hopefully I will get to Exeter for mother's day next weekend to meet up with the boys if nobody gets ill in the mean time.
I hear we have our first two cases in Bath now. Contrary to popular belief this is not Sergeant Major Cornish spotted walking around Bath !!!
