'Ello troops. It's that time of year Private Mcc2 the norovirus abounds !

This weather is potty, I was out yesterday digging a tub full of weeds from my flower bed it was that mild and I've had daffodils in full bloom since the 2nd Feb. This morning everything is covered in ice and they say we are going to get hit by a bad storm on Saturday night ! I'm not sure if I should wear my summer or winter uniform !

Gosh - homes are so expensive. How on earth do people manage it?
I saw a crocus blooming yesterday, and my daffs have good size buds. They usually bloom mid March, but I think will be sooner.
Frost this morning here, too. But it warmed up during the day and we spent some good time in the sun cleaning up branches.

Morning all, kettle is on and it`s a tad nippy out there. Cant seem to find that bottle!!!

Morning - well it seems the Old Sailor will be coming home after all but not for another week or two as various re-assessments have to be carried out with regard to his care package.

We had a long chat with the nurses yesterday and they are as concerned as we are about his mobility and other issues compared to the young Physios who would've sent him home this week!

Today's main 'to do' is to resume the search for my old mobile phone as I need to use it for a bank security code. [Don't ask!]

Thanks red for the kettle on, yes certainly cold out there again today, when took dog out people were scraping ice from there car windows.

Hope Annie you can sort home out for old Salior,its frightening how it spreads in homes but suppose its closed in. they are so expensive, I assume you looked at live in carer as cant be anymore expensive.

Well we are off to Somers hospital appointment apparrantly there is road works which ever we go & then Monday he has 2 they are only 5 miles away so not so bad

Dad will be coming home if all goes well, not into the care home as yet. That's Plan B if his condition worsens in any way.

You had better get me some more rations in pronto as I might need to do battle, I had another hit last night but the haven't paid yet so I need to be alert and on tip top form !




It's a good job I took a trip to the mess yesterday evening to top up my levels.

Got my green bin filled up with holly again yesterday, the pile still doesn't seem to be shrinking though, I wish they would empty the bin more than once a fortnight. I expect I will have holly all over the garden again if we get the storm at the weekend.
