Morning - rather wet and cold, but sunny here in Welsh Wales with snow being reported on the higher ground

Gathering my strength to contact the various agencies involved with the Old Sailor about his solution for coming home. Wish me luck!

Apart from that, managed to lose a little one overnight - but still awaiting payment as Paypal playing up.

Take care all - and think it's time for another mug of tea.

Annie we had the snag with careline last night, about 20 past 2 the phone went & it was them they had Gwens wrist alarm go off & they tried to ring her & couldn't raise her, so we were getting dressed & N said how about ringing her, so did & got answerphone, so carried on dressing & phone went it was her, asking if we had rung so told her what happened & explained that she had to go & press red button & tell them she was okay, anyway she managed that, but she wanted to know what I was doing up to answer the phone so had to explain to her, this morning she rang N & didn't rember we had that last night. but thing is if she had a fall we could have helped her. we had it fitted for FIL & then just transferred to MIL, has been worth it.

Here all around on the high ground there was snow, & a bit on some of the cars, but now its bright sunshine, but cold.

Off to have a haircut for both of us this morning.

Just in case you didn't see my post on the pimp thread, beware YDC peeps as Paypal have changed their wording again. There is no friends and family button any more, you have to pick 'without protection' otherwise the seller will get a fee.

Wish I could go back to bed! Not looking forward to today's visit to see the Old Sailor as he thinks he's coming home in a couple of days .....
Which I am afraid is impossible after what happened last week, etc.

Will try and speak to someone when we go in later to see what the situation is. There should be a ward-based Liaison person to handle all this instead of having to chase nursing staff to get information.
Even the Ward Receptionist isn't allowed to give out information!

Time for another mug of tea to get my thoughts in order.

Red - sorry you are in pain......did you run out of lard? You could rub that all over, and maybe take out the crinks and squeaks. At least you could slide into bed easily.
Annie - sorry you have so much on your hands right now. Old Sailor is fortunate you guys are around to oversee things. Just remind him you don't want him falling and breaking a hip or something, as that takes SO long to heal.
Some frost here this morning, but not much.
Went to Ebbwvale yesterday to the Archives. It's always fun there. Hubby gave them a book on the area and a couple things, and we were surprised to see snow in places there. I guess the town is one of the highest spots in the county. (MON)
