Morning one and all - tea is made and there's freshly made bread for toast

I appear to have losted a small one overnight so will have pull out all the stops to replace asap.

Good work Moony - keep it up. Was so pleased when himself gave up smoking all those years ago especially as we had 2 young children at the time.

Time for more tea and toast

Mornin' troops. Well done Private Moon, just remember what it used to be like !

I can't remember when I gave up now, I think it was about 15 or 16 years ago but I'm still addicted to the nicorette chewing gum !

Cat feeding duty has been done. Had a bit of a panic last night when I couldn't get into their house again with their wonky door lock and had to go back home and fetch a can of WD40. Thank goodness it opened this morning O.K. otherwise the cats would have been trapped inside.

Had an interesting evening down the local last night. Had a chat with Sedge Moore from the Wurzels and also met the nephew of Eric Winter who illustrated all the Ladybird fairy tale books. We still haven't had any news on the planning application to demolish the place as the council have now put the date back to the 17th January.

Right I must get my quarters cleaned up today. I did manage to get most of the food shopping in for New Year yesterday so at least that was something. I might even get a new listing on if I'm lucky !

MOONIE! That is FANTASTIC! That is 83+ days of better health!! People know most of the adverse effects of smoking on themselves and others, but not as many know of the awful effects on eyes. I hope you are finding the changes you've made are carry-on-able! Congrats!

And to others that have quit over time. I'm lucky I never got started....couldn't get past the choking and sputtering phase, or I doubt I'd have the willpower to quit. I'm impressed with anyone who succeeds in dumping the expensive toxins.

Have had company on the weekend...two of Phillpots boys and spouse/SO. And 2 grandkids, so it's been lively. The last couple leave today, then peace and quiet, and lots of leftovers. I'm so bad at planning cooking for a big group. oh well - less work this coming week!

    Ta-Ta for now!

Morning all. Well time for a little reflection, a strange year indeed ! Kettle is on and there`s still a drop of something for the Sarge.

Mornin' troops. Thank you Private Kite I will need a few tripple 'special' coffees to get me through today and tomorrow. Last cat feeding has been done so can cross that off the list.

Kitchen floor has been scrubbed and bathroom blitzed so feeling a bit more organised. Need to nip to the shops for a couple more things and make the dessert today then a general hoover, dust and tidy before slaving over a hot stove tomorrow. I did manage to list a new one yesterday.

Lovely smell throughout the house this morning of freshly baked bread

Himself set up the breadmaker last night using the timer. I remember meebo used to do this also.

Back to mundane tasks today - loading the washing machine, tidying up and making a shopping list - as if we really need anything, but we do!

Also got one new listing up yesterday with a few more planned after a bit more research.

Hope everyone is feeling better than of yore.
