Morning one and all - progress - managed to get out of bed by myself. Now waiting for mug of tea

Bit of deja vu about posting this time of the morning - remember meebo's posts?

Well done Private Mcc2 that's the fighting spirit we will soon have you back out on the assault course ! (Sergeant Major Cornish is all heart as you know !)

Well I had a lovely surprise missive yesterday from Private Dan (DanTheMan3) which took me down eBid memory lane. Seems he is now doing service overseas ! Very sadly his wife passed away after he had been her carer for seven years so he decided to do some travelling. After getting back to the U.K. he wasn't happy and has now emigrated to Spain which he loves. He sends his regards to all his old eBid pals and hopes to be testing out the Spanish eBid in the future. Seems he forgot to take me with him round the world in the eBid boat ... remember this with me, Dan, klj & Ken Gillam?!!!

Thanks Trish had a lovely time with the family & MIL enjoyed it, Andrew & grandaughter are both Optomertist, & were telling us that they are having jobs getting drugs for some eye problems, & he was saying that the problem they are having of changing peoples drugs over, & then finding that what ever they change over to then also can't be got, they are worried because some are nearly blind & hes worried that there sight will go., seems that at least part of the problem is Britex again.

Thanks Buttons, I would appreciate the link. I got some of the Hemp oil joint and muscle relief for O/H, he used it daily for a while but it hasn't proved to be as good as we had hoped. Certainly want to try this though, as like Helen, some days JR hobbles about in great pain.
Hope you and Mike are doing OK x

Glad you had a lovely time with the family, Pam. Yes, I did read/hear that some medicines will be hard to come by in the future.

I remember Ken, he was a super artist wasn't he?
Hope the count of objections has risen considerably sarge.

I wish I had your determination and spirit - I believe that they are building houses where the allotments just over a narrow lane from my house are.
I think it's such a shame - the allotmenteers must be gutted. Plus, I hope they don't build them too close -
I don't fancy being overlooked when I sunbathe in my bikini ....

134 objections (if you count in the couples) and 2 comments so far Private Tropical and I took round another load of letters today. Three more days to go before the council stop taking communications. Just hope it's enough to make them think twice ! My all time favourite comment is from a 91 year old lady I spoke to yesterday ...
The planned buildings will destroy a historic spot that I have known for over 85 years, as a community destination. Bless her, she said she would get her son to use his computer for her and she did !

I think Ken must still be around as his website is still going. I wonder what happened to Frank who did those great eBid cartoons ? I know he said he had been quite ill when he popped in a few years ago so I imagine we might have lost him too.

Private Tropical you do realize it's winter don't you ?!!!

Afraid the euphoria of coming home has worn off somewhat after a rather uncomfortable night.

Sat next to a warm radiator which is helping things.

    Speak later.
