I do so hope that midnight will be the turning point for you dear Private Meebo and that 2019 will bring you much better news and health. I might just have to drink a few toasts to you to enforce that !

Well, thank you for the good wishes. I have had several phone calls from the hospital since I wrote last. They tried to catch me before I left the hospital, but I was too quick I now have to go back for a CT scan on Wednesday morning and had to promise if I got breathless or had any chest pains I'll call 999. You can be sure if I don't, Clive would! I think I deserve a little drink.....

Good morning! I am very quiet as I don't want to wake anyone, Off to the canteen shortly to make the coffee and tea as I am sure some will require lots to banish the furry tongue syndrome Be good

It appears I slept through all the fireworks at midnight even though the window was ajar.

Got rid of himself for most of the day as he's gone for a New Year's Day walk/trek up the Wrekin with his brother so I might get a few things out of the way without being interrupted

Hope there aren't too many hangovers about so will tip-toe quietly out of the way.

Happy New Year troops. Furry tongue Private Meebo ? Are you sure Barney hasn't gone missing from your quarters and ended up in my mouth ?! You lot must be immune to all the fireworks after so much artillery fire.

Had a great evening, our Cornish Trago Mills fireworks went well and I staggered home about 3.00am and heard O/H come in at about four. O/H is usually up by 7.00am but this morning he has only just emerged at 11.35 so he obviously enjoyed himself, not sure his liver did though !

We had a rather quiet evening. Had a couple friends over for cheese and crackers, and some Christmas cake our DIL made. Heard it was yum. I didn't try, as I do gluten free. Saw a few flashes of lights high in the clouds, and heard a couple of booms, but didn't actually see any fireworks except on tv. A half glass of Lambrusco (first try for me) went down well. mmmmm. Today OH is on the sofa covered in two blankets, two sweaters, - one over his face - sleeping all morning. I think he is coming down with something. He doesn't drink, so that's not the problem...………...or maybe it IS!

Happy New Year to you, my eBid friends!!
    Ta-Ta for now!
