Morning one and all - doesn't feel as cold, but the heating's on! As is the kettle.

Hands feeling very puffy again and one knee is playing up so breakfast pt 1 was anti-inflammatories & pain killers. Yuck.

I was hoping to start writing the Christmas cards today but will have to see how my hands are as not always able to hold a pen when they're like this. Hate this arthritis...

My little granddaughter [almost 2yrs] has been taught 'Twinkle, twinkle Little Star' at daycare, and is driving everyone mad at home as she sings it all day long! She is quite a character.

Anyone else drink Green Tea as I'm thinking of trying it to see if it helps my arthritis.
But 1st a mug of English tea

Good morning! I slept late this morning. It was 6.30 when I left the nice warm bed. Annie, I drink a large pot of (weak) green tea most mornings. I didn't know it was supposed to be good for arthritis. Outside it is wet and dark and horrible. I don't want to go out, but I must do some shopping. But I don't expect to be doing much else. It is a sitting- in- a- comfy - chair -with-a-book-a-drink-and-chocolate kind of day. And I might just do that (after some tick nicking)

Meebo glad you managed to have a good sleep,

Annie, I know how you feel my arthritis is bad my right hip & my leg & ankle, painkillers don't seem to help either, its horrible isn't it, will be interested to see whether Green tea helps you.

Sgt am afraid have a bomb going off in three days time but will be relisting again by then am hoping to get some ready to scan again today.

Well real miserable day today. Damp & very windy, they are saying on radio will get a lot windyer.

Mornin' troops. That sounds like a good plan Private Meebo but unfortunately the chocolate would be out for me unless I want another gall stone attack !

Great minds think alike Private Mcc2, I did my Christmas letter yesterday so now I have to make a start on the cards.

Lieutenant Maplegin get those defenses sorted !

I drink a lot of green tea - it's supposed to be better for you than the black tea. Same tea, just not processed as much. I have several favorite kinds. Best tip is not to brew it as long as directed, or it gets bitter. It doesn't stain your teeth as much as black tea does, too.

    Ta-Ta for now!

Have you tried using a Tens machine Annie? They are at a brilliant price right now due to Cyber Monday.

I ordered one yesterday and got the reduced price as well as VAT relief. I'm sat here waiting in anticipation for delivery which they said would be in the next hour. ( and I didn't pay for postage ). DHL free delivery service.

I've been watching a Youtube video on how to use them and it seems simple enough. Fingers crossed it will be as good as they say it is.

Meebo - I was so sorry to read your news. I'm hoping treatment is fast and effective for you. Sending a hug also.

Somersethedge - I've read somewhere that Tens is excellent for Fibromyalgia also - maybe worth looking into for you?

I use a Tens machine for my fibromyalgia and sometimes it is wonderful but other times it makes your nerve endings tingle quite painfully

I think we have one somewhere which we got years ago when himself had neck problems.

Hadn't thought of using it with arthritis. Will go on a search.....

Also brilliant for labour pains in case any of you are thinking of producing more Cadets !

I can remember the midwife saying, "You can let go of the Tens button now as it won't be having much effect at this late stage" and me saying "Not on your life" !!!
