Glad you are home safe Sgt & enjoying the family, you will soon be able to rest.

Annie enjoy yourself with the family hope they catch up on the sleep.

Well have done the relists, so all is well so far no losses so should keep Sgt happy.

Hope everyone has finished there Shopping we will just need to get fresh milk & bread for over Christmas,I notice the supermarkets are really keeping the prices lower for Vegs this year.

Have a good time Private Moon. My cadet has just departed we had a lovely Christmas meal with them yesterday so I can heave a sigh of relief that all the major cooking has been done. Just got to make a couple of desserts for various people we are visiting now.

Glad you are back to make my 'special' coffee Private Meebo !

We were so lucky with the weather in Faro we had a couple of light spots of rain the day we arrived but after that it was blue skies and sunshine all the way. We found some quirky bars and good restaurants. The first evening we had some folk singers entertaining us while we ate then on Saturday Faro Motocycle club did a ride through the town all dressed up as Father Christmas with balloons tied to their bikes beeping their horns. It didn't stop there, they all parked up and set up tables in the main shopping street and served everybody free port and Portuguese Christmas cake, it was lovely ! At the same time Faro folk club did a display of traditional dancing in national costume which was very jolly. The Christmas lights through the city were lovely and very unusual. What struck me the most though was how relaxed everybody was, there wasn't any of the frantic Christmas shopping and crowds like over here, we really have got it wrong with all the materialism in this country at Christmas.

    Some holiday snaps for you.

Looks lovely, sarge, and I am glad that you can relax a bit now. We are now pretty well decided to go away on the 1.1. and will book the ferry tomorrow or Sunday. Barney's holiday is also arranged, so all looks good here

Kettle's on and tea is made, etc.

Must remember to take the Turkey Crown out of the freezer today or I'll be in trouble.

Had great fun last night with grandson reading 'Captain Underpants' stories - had us all in stitches.

I think we're just about ready for Monday - are you?

Good morning all glad Sgt you have had a good time with the family now your time to relax lovely pictures from your holiday, must be nice to get some sunshine.
Meebo hope you can get booked up for your holiday ok will do you good to get away.

    Well relists done ,

Off to the suppermarket to get Mum & Dad stocked up with Bread & milk probably straight after lunch, gather the supermakets were very busy yesterday so hope its not so bad today, Nigels Dad got a shock we got a call from the physios as he said he didn't want them coming boxing day, they would be there this morning, he thought he got away for a week, he would rather sit & do nothing. You'd think that the supermarkets are going to be closed for a week not 1 day.

Good morning! Sorry I am late. OH has a pain in his foot. He has had it before, so booking the ferry is postponed - just in case. Must drag the hoover around the house. It has been neglected
