Eastbourne Council has their own definition of a garden....6 inches thickness of turf rolled onto concrete....at least that is what I suspect after attempting to plant roses in a bed in the centre of my 'lawn'....

I think it was a cost cutting exercise. They didn't want to employ a landscape gardener so paid a carpet fitter instead

So now what, moonie? Large pots for the roses? I am off to the canteen shortly. My stomach is rumbling this morning, so I may as well make the tea and coffee while looking for something to eat. I also want to finish sewing a little bag - the third from one pair of jeans. The relists are still on the to do list, so after the barber this morning it'll be back to that. I hope it'll be another sunny day - people are so much nicer when the sun is out. See you later

*BIG YAWN* Morning all - a trip to the Foot Clinic at the local hospital with the Old Sailor later this morning is today's top of the 'To Do' list. We'll only be there about half-an-hour .......................... Dad will be exhausted with the effort and I will be worn out!

About half-way with the p&p editing now - still finding some howlers and also deleting some items so my listing numbers are going up and down like a yoyo at the moment. Didn't help being told last night that I spend far too much time in front of my PC!

But first another mug of tea to get my strength up.

Firstly I'm so pleased all went well with your hospital visit Private Meebo that is good news.

Pah men, Private Mcc2 ! Doesn't he know you are doing vital war work ?! I suppose he would rather you be baking him a cake or summat !



One bomb exploded yesterday so had to do a trip to the post office but I did manage to list another couple of things for the YDC so they will be safe for a while !

Going on a late birthday celebration with the youngest cadet and fiancee this evening so that will be nice.

Good morning! Hope everyone will wake feeling well and ready to work. I am always surprised how a little bit of sunshine gives me energy to do things. It's our gardener's day today, so there will be lots of activity. I have to write a couple of emails before going to the canteen (or I forget to write - again) but tea and coffee should be ready by 6.30. Enjoy the day!

Staying in for the gas man again because we missed him last time.

He put a card through saying he had missed us only there were 5 of us in the nearest room to the front door which is only about 6 feet away from where I was sat and none of us heard the bell or anyone knocking....weird.

I have been up since 7 and have posted my P.I,P. form as the gas man said he would be here between 8am and 1pm today.

A much cooler start to the day - and the heating is on just to take the chill off.

All OK yesterday with the hospital visit and the Old Sailor doesn't have to go back; but he enjoyed the ride in the Dial-a-Ride minibus
