Morning one and all - how many sore heads are out there? Kettle's on, there's bread for toast, oranges for juicing, etc, so tuck in.

We didn't stay up to see in the New Year, but plenty of fireworks being let off nearby from early evening.

Now to decide which calendar to use as I have 3 to choose from

I think a good night was had by all judging by how full my recycling bin is with bottles this morning and we had some good artillery fire in the garden at midnight !

Glad it arrived safely Private Buttons. Just got the last lot of stuff in the dish washer and have taken down all the Christmas decorations so when the Cadet arrives this evening he can help O/H get the tree out of the house as it's pretty heavy with the giant pot.

Good evening! Well, we did get a good night's sleep (aren't double glazed windows wonderful?) we were on the road before 7 and made the trip in less than 2 hours. although there were a lot more cars on the road this evening, it took us about the same time. Fridge/freezer and washing machine are now installed ready for use and daughter is happy. We had a late lunch at a carvery and I feel that I won't need any food in the morning. OH has an airport run at 5am, but I somehow expect he'll be back in bed after he returns. I am now signing off for today. Glad you all arrived safely in 2017

A happy new year to you too Private Car and Private Wicca. Christmas tree has been removed and I now have pine needles everywhere !
Everybody has just gone to bed and I will stay up and wave them off (and make sure they get up in time !) at 2.45am. They have to be at Stansted by 6.00am, so glad I am not going.

Morning all and a happy New Year! I am off to Malta in 2 weeks with my youngest daughter. A last minute bargain we bagged yesterday. Is the January ydc a memorial one? i'm sure i read somewhere that it will be.
