Good morning! I have been pootleing around since 4 am. Sun is shining and the bunny had it's outing in the garden with me. OH has a hospital appointment today so I am sending him to the PO on the way. I lost one just a few moments ago, paid for packed and ready to go. Need to do a bit more knitting as I want the finished product for the YDC. Have a pleasant day

Good morning from a rather grey looking Kingston upon Thames. If I remember right they promised a bit of rain. I won't mind but the rabbit will as he is banned to his run in the garden for the time being. His cage needs cleaning and I want to take advantage of husband being out for the day and do some cleaning. Slowly and carefully. I have made tea and coffee, so please help yourself

It's raining here but the garden needs it, as do the water butts as they're nearly empty.

More sorting/labelling of lace bobbins today - once that's finished I can then start photographing them.

Yoohoo I'm back ! Now firstly who was on guard duty ? (Scowls around the barracks !) I seem to have mislaid a listing during my absence and I got out of my bunk this morning and it's only taken one drop of rain and another one has vanished !

Well what a lovely shopping centre Chester has. I just loved the old buildings and the unusual double layer of shops with the first floor covered rows. I've never seen anything like that before but what a good idea, you can fit in twice as many shops ! I must admit I also feel in love with one establishment 'The Brewery Tap' which was a wonderful old hall where King Charles 1st stayed. How's this for a fireplace / bar ?! (must get one in the mess !)



We went to Chester zoo the first day which I thought was very well done. They had loads of conservation projects going. My favourite had to be the bat cave. They had built a cave with free flying bats that you could walk through which was wonderful. I went through the protective curtain and this huge fruit bat just skimmed my nose with a wing which made me jump !!! The butterfly house was lovely too.

pleased you are home Sarge, Lovely pictures especially the one of cheavers mates, I half expected a knock on the door and made Mike hoover the lounge and give the loo an extra clean. Was the travelling any better for you this time?

Still the same I'm afraid Private Buttons. I had an upset stomach before I even managed to get in the car this time ! I just don't know what the answer is apart from not going anywhere ?
Glad I'm keeping you on your toes with cleaning your quarters though !
