Fell asleep, as usual, when watching late evening TV. Woke up at 11.30 to hear that Remain leading - went to bed all grumpy thinking they haven't even begun to count votes and peeved that it seemed Remain's Plague of Frogs had worked.
Couldn't sleep, so listened to radio and then the result came in - brilliant!
At least, after all the doom and gloom, we know that there will be a financial price to pay - for the time being, with this choice. But the majority of the UK think that it is a price worth paying, rather than being used as a milch cow for the insanity that is the EU - it's our choice and we will deal with the consequences as they arise.

Was thinking this when listening to the results (would have been very unhappy with the difference had it been the other way round), but considering the figures are from London, Scotland, N Ireland and a handful of towns/university cities only - Remain should have had a huge win, had the majority wanted to Remain. The overwhelming figures for Leave is truly a reflection of the will of the little (not Luvvies, left-wing hand-wringers, bankers and the metropolitan elite) people who are expected to do as they are told.
A victory for the history and story of Great Britain - not being thrown away to suit an un-elected, undemocratic, untouchable elite.

How nice, I've just had a message from suesjools and she sends her love to all her eBid friends and apologises for being AWOL for so long. She has been looking after her mum who has been ill for quite some time and has just had throat surgery. I'm pleased Private Jools is O.K. though.

Hi all. I'm glad to hear that Sue is OK. I've been wondering what happened to her. There are a lot of the posters who once came here regularly that have not been posting and I've wondered about how they are. Good to read what is new. Hope that everyone has a good weekend.
