Morning - damp, grey, overcast and humid here in Mid Wales - and I've got all the windows open !

Was given 3 Sunflower seedlings yesterday from the Old Sailor's new neighbour. He [the neighbour] and his mates are having a competition to see who can grow the tallest Sunflower. Dad has appropiated one as he wants to join in

Well you have all given me something to think about, you are all right the other halfs don't deal with any of it, will certainly follow Annies idea about the life book.

Its quiet miserable here with weather, drizzle so no treating more of the fence.

Means that can start sorting for listing again.

hope everyone has a good day.

Ello troops, wet and miserable here. The great tit chicks have hatched in our nesting box and are making a right din. Mum is staying in with them to keep them warm and dad is doing all the work getting food - very sensible in my opinion ! Can't see how many chicks there are as O/H seem incapable of putting the camera at the right angle. I can only see the top of the nest and the parents going in and out. Hopefully when the chicks get bigger I will be able to do a head count !

Gawd, it's so quiet so far this month, where is everybody ? I might put my feet up and have a little tipple in the mess later !

Got to go into town first though as more legal stuff to sort for the Old Soldier, it's never ending. It doesn't help that the Teacher's Pension people have got a naff telephone system and I can't get through to them, all I get is a jingle of music sometimes and then it cuts off or I just get the engaged tone. They owe money to the estate and it hasn't arrived !

Morning - could do with 25 bombs-in-disguise to help make space on my shelves !

In for another damp, grey day by the looks of things - and himself is at home [day off] so not sure what is happening today. But I do have a new web page to write/tweak/amend to get on with to pass the time.

But first another mug of tea.

WHAT ?! I come in expecting my special coffee and this is all I get ?! I mean, come on Corporal Somerset, I thought it was bad when a sniper picked off one of mine last night when I was staggering out of the m... erm, I mean climbing into my bunk ! I think I shall have to go to the mess this morning to recover from that shock.

A tad wet today so there is no excuse not to list.

Got all my stuff done in town yesterday and found the missing pension payment in a different bank account so I can now get on with finishing the Old Soldier's affairs thank goodness. My head is spinning with it all, it's more stressful than the death itself and his estate isn't that complicated. I feel sorry for people that have to deal with trust funds etc !

I have a similar number and it's not my birthday!

having a real problem keeping my listing numbers steady let alone increasing them.

Sarge, Once you've done the urgent stuff for the estate, don't rush. It takes a while to get everyone to answer (have done this twice) and some can be quite awkward ("I can't tell you that until you have probate" "I can't get probate until you tell me how much. Pass this call to your supervisor").

Sorry lost two last night and got paid for 8 yesterday that i thought may be staying.
Very busy with paperwork at the moment a I have demanded a referral to a new gastro consultant that specialises in PBC so am getting all info collated so he can see at a glance instead of me having to remember it all on the day, He is at the hospital in the next county but think it's worth the trip. going on the 19th, also man coming out on 13th to see if he can help anyway with mike's eye problem, Also OT coming out on 16th to do a spec thingy on the stairs in case mike will need a stair lift in the future, They have also put in for a grant to put him a shower in in the room next to the bedroom as he can't use the over the bath one. Plus the kitchen is still like a bomb site, I hope i have said enough to make it quite plain that i will not be peeling and spuds and i don't do bog cleaning.

Buttons, for those things that make your lives easier and which do not come with a grant, it is worth remembering that they are VAT free. Just ask your GP for a letter which you give to the company fitting your equipment. We saved loads on new walk-in shower needed for OH as he can't get into the bath when joints are in flare-up.
