Weighed myself this morning and discovered that I have lost 2st so far this year.....looks like the flight socks are working.

I am wearing them instead of the compression garments I am supposed to wear.

Compression garments are £20 a pair...flight socks which do a better job are £5 a pair

I could get the compression garments on prescription but the prescriptions cost more than the flight socks

So it's a no brainer really.

Think we are all short of vit D in the UK Meebo, we all need to move to Spain. hope clive doesn't get any side effects from the Chemo and it's great he can drive, I so miss Mike driving as I hate it, I have a terrible temper when driving and drove straight at someone who was parked in front of my drive the other day as he just sat there and shook his head when i indicated that I wanted him to move, he soon moved I tell you.

Another course of antibiotics has just been prescribed for my cellulitis which just won't budge.

And I have to go for a Dopla test in the week to check my circulation as that could be a contributing factor.

Wish they'd told me this might be a side effect from knee surgery as then i would have been better prepared instead of all this hanging about.

I used to have regular Dopla tests for my circulation. That was back in Hampshire.

Here in Sussex I have had no tests for anything....must have made a full recovery then between leaving Hampshire and turning up here.

In hospital recently, every doctor I saw made a big thing about me not taking my thyroxine ....only I was never prescribed any...weird!!

Ask for it Moonie as I think you get free scrips if you are on thyroxine, someone else may know.

Annie it always seems they look to repair one thing but forget how it effects something else.

I would get free prescriptions if I had myxoedema which I only had diagnosed this March

According to my medical records I have never been diagnosed as having an underactive thyroid which is why I haven't taken the thyroxine for years...I wasn't prescribed any.
