Why couldn't you just use the Restore Windows 7 in Backup & Restore on the Control Panel? Had you had 10 installed too long (I can't recall what the time limit is)?

I did, and I only had it on for 3 days. If you were nearer, I'd ask you round for tea and a session with the PC

If you only had it installed 3 days then the backup automatically created when you installed 10 should have still been available and restoring 7 should have been easy. That's the route I took.

Look in Backup & Restore and see if the option is still there - though you will have wiped it if you have done a new installation of 7.

Another damp morning here in Mid Wales + been catching up on the Live Stream from the Dyfi ospreys where it's not quite so windy as yesterday.

Have you got your PC sorted out now, meebo? Hope you found all your files and photos, etc.

Spent a lot of time yesterday scanning a batch of postcards - and then found I'd already done them ages ago but not edited the scans ready for listing - doh So that's something to do today after I've seen the Old Sailor. He's itching to get out on his mobility, scooter, but can't until the weather brightens/dries up.

Another damp morning here in Mid Wales...

Plenty of water here in Old Grantham Town - except in the taps locally. Barely a trickle and what there is looks filthy. Bet all those getting their kids ready for the first day back at school after the Easter break were impressed.

Thank you Lieutenant Maplegin. We were lucky and had sunshine this morning for the trip to the crematorium. Had another trip to the solicitors this afternoon to swear oaths ( something Sergeant Major Cornish is very good at !) and hopefully that is most of the legal stuff done now.
Got his obituary in the paper - think I only managed one typo !!!
