Carpet fitters have gone as they ran out of carpet as I didn't allow enough for pattern matching and boy did they match it, of course it will cost more to fit the rest of it as well, I could kill mike for not doing it when he could.
Kitchen worktops have arrived and they are that big and heavy we can't pick the sods up, will have to ring my roofer friend for help.

Poor buttons! I suppose it teaches all of us to do things as soon as possible, just in case we can't at a later date. Now good morning from me. Barney came home last night from the vet feeling rather sorry for himself. But this morning things are back to normal except he no longer has an ugly lump growing on his side. And of course he has a bald spot there which makes him look quite funny. My credit card groaned a bit when I paid for his treatment, but it was a quarter of the quote I had from another vet and he had more done while there. Today I am seeing the specialist about my Thyroid. So I should know more at the end of today. Time to give Mil her breakfast. Tea and coffee are in the canteen. Enjoy

Morning - very dull and overcast out there at the moment.

As we need to empty the compost bin to get to the original stuff at the bottom from 2011, we're going to make use of our almost redundant wheelie bin! It's huge, almost as tall as me [4ft 11"] and will give himself something to do as he's bored stiff, but much improved. He goes back to work next week and has been put on light duties for a couple of weeks so it won't be constant driving.

For reference, I take our rubbish over to the Old Sailor's bin, and it's never full even after 3 weeks - and it's a smaller bin as well. So how households with only 2 people can have an overflowing large bin after only 2 weeks defies all logic.

    Have all a good day.

Good luck at the docs Meebo, please report in later, I have woken up sneezing my head off, possible through the carpet fitters keeping the front door open all day yesterday and the house was freezing.
Annie our bins are always over flowing, i am sure someone dump stuff in them, Mike insists on leaving them in the front garden for some reason only known to him, I can understand him wanting the recycling at the front behind the wall but to me the dustbin goes in the back, suppose it's easier for him to drag the bin out of the front gates.

Ello troops, the Old Soldier is driving me mad. O/H says he is doing his Albert Steptoe routine and I'm Harold ! It's the constant whining and pleading for me to stay standing beside him. He had the audacity to say to O/H this morning that he didn't know where I was ( I was actually upstairs getting myself dressed !) and that I didn't do enough for him. I'm pleased that O/H told him in no uncertain terms that I do everything for him !

He keeps saying he doesn't want to go into a home but I can't be standing beside him 24 hours a day. He was banging on the floor with his walking stick at 1.30am and when I went up there all he said was that I need to help him get into bed, I had helped him into bed earlier. His bed is right beside the chair and I had heard him get up two times to go to the toilet fine by himself. I guess he thought it would be fun to get me running up the stairs yet again. He's still refusing to eat and drink properly too and he's coming to the end of the antibiotics. Pulling my hair out here !

Now while I was being distracted by the Old Soldier I seem to have had a direct hit.

Keeping my fingers, toes and rifles crossed for you Private Meebo. x

This sounds very familiar to me Sarge, as I went through it, but my mother went on to abuse me with her fists, as i said to you when you were getting the rooms ready for him to think carefully before you did it, well please think carefully now before he starts to turn on you and starts lashing out, I am sorry but you cannot waste your life sarge and whatever you do I am sure we are all behind you. I am not trying to be nasty as i really feel for you having been there.

Sgt hope things will get better for you O/S, it must be very down heartening when it keeps happening, they really seem to go back to childhood.
Sgt have managed to list 14 so should more than cover what I am going to loose.

They most certainly do Pam and it's heartbreaking as you need your parents and they aren't there anymore.
