Brrrrrr it's chilly out there, just walked down to the garage to pick up the tank. It seems the battery had died. I can't understand that it has gone so quickly as I only had a new one put in about two years ago by the rescue recovery people ? They must have used a cheapo brand. I could have done without that bill after Christmas, oh well at least I'm back on the road.

Mike has to go back for a course of injections and when that's fixed will also need laser treatment as his lens capsule has also clouded over, I am shattered, just waiting for Ian the roofer to come and take some huge ladders we have as we don't need them any more and they are in the kitchen where we need to move a cupboard too so am letting Ian have them as he does help us out with things, i think i will just have a tin of soup for dinner, haven't got enough umph lefts to cook.
Oh and i managed to get one light to come on.

ow----busy and hard day for many of you! Didn't know the weather was so bad there, sid. Ew. Just a bit chilly here. We had some sun (yes, you read it right) today for awhile. And no rain. Go figure.

We had egg and chips maj and will be going to bed as soon as I hear from my friend Lorraine who is on flood alert.

Morning - it's 5.30am here and after 9 hours or so sleep, still feeling very tired. BUT 2 of the missing suitcases have arrived so at least himself has some clean knickers now

I read that there's snow at home; not here though - still very warm and humid.

No snow here in Suffolk, it's wet, very windy and extremely cold and horrible.
Hope everyone keeps safe and dry - looks like we are in for some cold wintry weather after all the mild climates that we have been experiencing of late.

Good morning! Just got back upstairs after making tea and coffee. I also folded some washing that had been drying indoors. That is one thing I miss from Germany (even after 45 years ) there is either a basement or loft where you can dry your laundry. We gave Mil a sleeping pill last night or nobody would have got any rest. so now it is still nice and quiet. I promised myself that I would get on with the little sewing jobs that are piled on my sewing machine. It will be satisfying when that is done. As I didn't go out yesterday, I may do so this morning. On the other hand, I may not. We will see. That's all for now. I need to check on the re-lists.....
